The flagship smartphone from Xiaomi, MI 11 5G, is fortunately sold together with the charger. These days, to increase the profit margin by a few euros, several companies, following Apple’s example, are removing it, with the excuse of environmental sustainability. The other advantage of the Mi 11 is that it is a very powerful high-end phone, but with a relatively affordable price: 799 euros in the basic version with 128Gb of storage space. Latest generation processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 888), beautiful 6.8-inch screen (at 120 Hz with Hdr10 +), 8 Gb of memory, rear camera with 108 megapixel main sensor and front 20 that do well. Clean shapes, good battery life, quality materials and one flaw: no MicroSd cards to increase storage space.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G from Korea’s Samsung is similar in size and features, but costs almost 500 euros more. It has no battery charger or the usual Akg earphones, the possibility of using the MicroSd has even been removed. The steps forward over the Note20 Ultra are minor: the gorgeous screen now almost always runs at 120Hz and the front camera goes from low quality 10 megapixels to 40, finally managing to produce decent shots. The block of the rear one, with the main sensor from 108 pixels, remains bulky, even if it is one of the best on the market. Passable battery life. Basically it is yet another proof of Samsung’s inferiority complex towards Apple: it copies its stellar prices and imitates its most questionable moves, losing the chance to stand out and helping the only competitors it should fear, those coming from China. .
