For the most part, Monster Hunter Rise doesn’t have much of a presence on PC, as player counts have been relatively low since the game debuted on the platform. However, things have changed since the release of the Dawnbreaker expansion, as Rise’s Steam player count has doubled its typical peak over the past few days.
As noted by SteamDB, since Sunbreak launched on June 30, Rise’s player count has grown from its usual peak of around 75,000 players to a peak of over 230,000 players. It should be noted that this player growth also saw the game hit a new all-time peak player count on Steam, which happens to be the 231,360 players who clocked in yesterday.
As it stands, Rise’s active player count is around 110,000 (enough to be No. 7 on Steam’s current list of most popular games), which is still significantly higher than its usual peak and well above its usual low. Point about 30,000 players.
