Montebelluna Hospital, new head physicians of orthopedics and surgery appointed

Two other head physicians have been appointed to the Montebelluna hospital: they are Dr. Alessandro Geraci, who will lead the Orthopedics and Traumatology of San Valentino from 15 July and Dr. Luca Bonariol who has assumed the leadership of the Operational Unit since 1 July of Surgery. “For Valentine’s Day I wanted a relaunch season, which the appointment of a good team of new primary professionals, all of a high professional level, young and motivated, will allow us to pursue – underlines the general manager of Ulss 2, Francesco Benazzi – The appointment of directors of Orthopedics and Surgery will complete the apicality of the Valentine’s Day. ALESSANDRO GERACI – Director of Orthopedics and Traumatology Montebelluna

Born in 1978 in Palermo, he graduated in 2003 in medicine and surgery and specialized, in 2008, in orthopedics and traumatology at the University of Palermo, with full marks and honors. Subsequently he obtained the specialization in experimental and molecular medicine (Palermo 2012) and the degree in economics and management of health services (Chieti 2015). He also obtained a 2nd level master’s degree in healthcare management and management of complex structures (Rome 2016) and a managerial training certificate for managers of complex structures (Montecchio Precalcino-SSP Foundation). From July 2009 to January 2012 he served in the Feltre Hospital. From 1 February 2012, following a transfer for mobility, he arrives at the Castelfranco hospital and remains in service at the San Giacomo orthopedics until 8 September 2019. From 9 September 2019 he began his service at Ca ‘Foncello, until the appointment of Director of the complex operating unit of orthopedics and traumatology of the hospital of Montebelluna. Dr. Geraci, since 2015, is the holder of the managerial position “knee arthroscopy” and presents a conspicuous scientific production.

LUCA BONARIOL – Director of General Surgery Montebelluna

Dr Bonariol, born in Treviso in 1967, graduated in medicine and surgery from the University of Padua in 1993 after graduating from high school, and specialized in general surgery at the same university in 1998, with the maximum score and the praise. After an initial experience, from 1999 to 2001, at the “Villa Salus” Hospital in Mestre, he began his professional career in the Marca in the 4th surgery of Ca ‘Foncello, from March 2001 to September 2018, then, subsequently, in the 3rd ^ surgery of the Treviso hospital. In his professional activity, dr. Bonariol has been involved in general emergency surgery and, since June 2021, has been the owner of the simple structure “Robotic and high technology surgery”; he has gained specific experience in laparoscopic and robotic hepato-pancreatic-biliary and emergency surgery. His scientific production is extensive in national and international publications and the surgical case history is remarkable.

FABIO DE CONTI – Director of Cardiology

Born in 1964 in Vittorio Veneto, after classical high school he graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Padua in 1989 with full marks and honors, then specializing, again in Padua, in 1993 in Cardiology. He has always dedicated himself to clinical cardiology and in particular to echocardiography in all its aspects. He was responsible for the management of a simple structure “Wards, DH and DS” at the Cardiology Unit of the Camposampiero hospital and since 2020 he is the holder of a highly specialized professional position in “Advanced Imaging and Special Ultrasound”. Member of the National Association of Hospital Cardiologists and of the Italian Society of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging, he also carries out tutoring activities for general and transesophageal ultrasound. He began his professional career in 1992 in the then Ulss Alta Padovana, at the Cardiology of the Camposampiero hospital, where he has practiced until today except for a small interlude, between 2001 and 2002, at the Conegliano hospital. His is therefore a professional return to the Treviso area. Dr De Conti began his service at the Montebelluna Hospital on April 15, 2022.

FRANCESCO MENZELLA – Director of Pneumology

Born in Matera in 1972, he graduated in Medicine and Surgery, in 1998, at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and specialized in 2003 in Allergology and Clinical Immunology (University of Parma) and, in 2009, in Diseases of the ‘Respiratory System (University of Modena – Reggio Emilia). After starting his activity as a freelance doctor, Dr. Francesco Menzella served, from November 2009 to June 2017, in the “Santa Maria Nuova” hospital in Reggio Emilia as a 1st level medical director at the Pneumology Unit and, since July 2017, has held the position of high specialty in “Allergology and bronchial asthma” at the Pneumology Unit of the AUSL-IRCCS of Reggio Emilia. Dr. Menzella presents a considerable production of scientific articles and abstracts, published in international and national journals. He has participated, as a teacher or moderator, in numerous courses, conferences and congresses, mainly in the field of innovative therapies for severe asthma and respiratory infections. Dr Menzella entered service on March 1, 2022.

ANDREA BIANCHIN – Director of Anesthesia and Intensive Care

Born in Montebelluna in 1974, he graduated in medicine and surgery at the University of Padua in 1999, then graduating in anesthesia and resuscitation in 2003 at the same university. He attended specialization courses in Bioethics at the University of the Studies of Padua and in Management for the management of complex health structures in Ferrara. He has worked since February 2005 in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit of the “S. Valentino ”of Montebelluna, holding the position of management of a simple structure“ Montebelluna Intensive Care ”since March 2021. He has long been the corporate coordinator for the removal of organs and tissues. Dr Bianchin took up service at Valentine’s Day on October 1, 2021.

BARBARA BARBATO – Director of Geriatrics

Born in Venice in 1974, she graduated in medicine and surgery in 1999, at the University of Padua, and specialized in geriatrics and gerontology, with full marks and honors in the same university in 2003. Dr. Barbato began his career in the Asolo District, then ULSS 8, in October 2004. From October 2007 to October 2011 he worked at the Geriatria del Ca ‘Foncello and from November 2011 to April 2021 he directed the operational unit simple departmental value (UOSVD) “Service for continuity of care”. She is the author of numerous publications and presents a considerable updating activity, also as a speaker. Dr. Barbato joined Montebelluna on 1 May 2021.
