The funeral of Antonio Zoffili, retired cardiologist, artist, politician and son of the Northern League deputy Eugenio Zoffili, will be held tomorrow, 7 March.
Farewell to Antonio Zoffili
The news was announced today, Sunday 6 March. Doctor Antonio Zoffili, 84, was for a lifetime the “cardiologist of the erbesi”, column of the Sant’Anna clinic in Ponte Lambro, until he retired in 2007.
Once he had stopped wearing his scrubs, Zoffili had devoted himself “full time” to writing. He signed two books: “The Risorgimento in Romagna and Scipione Casali patriot and bibliophile” and “1940-1946. The war in my memories”, an autobiographical account of the war years seen with his eyes as a child.
A particular path, his, started in the Fine Arts, in Brera. Then, studying anatomy, the decision to devote himself to Medicine first, and then Cardiology.
“An exceptional person – recalls Sandro Rusconi in a message on Facebook – with great skills, great doctor, artist and great politician. I’m proud to have been his friend, we haven’t seen each other for a few years but he has always been in my memories”.
Condolences and messages also from the political world and from the League, in which his son Eugenio Zoffili, deputy of the Carroccio, plays.
