On 9 September they were recalled by the Ministry of Healthe mussels of different brands. This for acute toxicity hazard. Regarding them, the Ministry invites everyone not to consume the product and to deliver it to the supplier. Here then are the different brands, the number of batches and the expiry date.

Toxicity hazard: mussels recalled by the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health recalls the cooked mussels Taranto style with brand Mareinsieme Idea marketed by Mancin Nadia Srl. The headquarters of the plant is via Roma Nuova 53 in Rivà di Adriano nel Polesine in the province of Rovigo (Veneto). The production batch is 211001 with expiration date 1 October 2021. The product affected by the recall is the 400 gram net weight tray while the reason for the recall is the serious risk to the health of consumers due to acute toxicity hazard. This is due to the algal biotoxins Dsp (akadaic acid) for exceeding the acute reference dose of 160 micrograms / kg.
Furthermore the cooked mussels marinara always with brand Mareinsieme Idea and weighing 400 grams. The name of the manufacturer is the same as well as the location of the plant and the expiry date which is October 1, 2021. The risk is the same as indicated above.

The recall of cooked mussels Taranto style branded Aquolina marketed by Finpesca Spa via delle Industrie 7, 45014 Porto Viro (Rovigo). The headquarters of the plant is in via Roma Nuova, 53 Rivà di Ariano nel Polesine (Ro) and the manufacturer’s name is Mancin Nadia Srl. The production batch is 2021/98361, the expiry date is October 1, 2021 while the weight of 400 grams net. The reason for the recall is: serious health risk due to acute toxicity danger from algal biotoxins (okadaic acid).

Finally recalled by the Ministry of Health the cooked mussels marinara branded Aquolina always marketed by Finpesca and by the same manufacturer indicated above. The number of production batch is 2021/98360, the expiry date is October 1st 2021 and the weight is 400 grams net. The reason for the recall is as indicated above. For all 4 types of mussels, the Ministry of Health invites you not to consume the product and return it to the supplier.
