This morning the Minister of University and Research Maria Cristina Messa, will be visiting the University of Calabria. On the occasion he will be welcomed by the institutional leaders of the University of Arcavacata, headed by the magnificent rector, professor Nicola Leone. Professor also present Giovambattista De Sarro, magnificent rector of the Magna Graecia University of Catanzaro. In the morning, at 10.30, the Mass Minister will participate in the inauguration of the first academic year of the new degree course in medicine and digital technologies. Specifically, the course of study – inter-university with the Magna Grecia University of Catanzaro – provides, in addition to the “skills typical of the training of a doctor, also the acquisition of knowledge useful for mastering new technologies and applying them in the health sector and ‘learning of methods and techniques typical of artificial intelligence and bio-informatics, necessary to conceive and develop new applications for the sectors of precision medicine, telemedicine, personalized medicine, robotic surgery ».
