WhatsApp is widely the most used messaging app in the world (around 2 billion users, as of the beginning of the year) and for 2022 it had announced its intention to launch a policy of small but more frequent updates.
And less than a month the company, that is part of the Meta group, seems to have kept his word, because he has already brought some substantial changes in the test versions, open to a small group of subscribers. The last is definitely the most important and it was identified by WABetaInfo thanks to the screenshot of one of the testers (image below): in the future we will have the possibility to listen to a voice message even outside the chat from which it came. In the sense that we can receive it, press play, enter the chat with another person and in any case the playback will not be interrupted, as it happens now.
Everything will be possible thanks to a mini player with which to control the playback of the multimedia file, wherever you are in the application; difficult, however, that it is left there possibility to continue listening even by exiting WhatsApp and accessing another app. According to WABetaInfo, the addition of the player for listening to messages would concern Android from version 2.22.3.1 and also iPhones.

No news, however, of another highly anticipated feature that was talked about last September, namely the possibility of having the automatic transcription of voice messages.
In mid-December, WhatsApp had updated to allow you to listen to an audio message before sending it, while before Christmas the new Community feature, which allows administrators to link up to 10 groups into one, so members can view messages, photos and videos without having to switch between them,
