Omicron, finished the Zithromax throughout Italy. Anticovid medicine is nowhere to be found

Stocks of Zitromax are exhausted. In the fourth wave of Italy, gripped by Omicron and the exponential growth of infections, one of the main drugs for Covid home therapy, prescribed by all doctors together with tachipirina, has become nowhere to be found.

And not only Zithromax – the antibiotic that fights respiratory tract infections marketed by Pfizer – is finished but also all the equivalent generic drugs containing the active ingredient, theazithromycin, which has become the most sought after molecule in Italy.
