Other startups in the Italian Tech Database: there are now 171

Divinea, Microchannel Devices, Walliance, Enerbrain, Ermes, Freedome, Rebo e Relive are the eight new startups entered today in the Italian Tech Startup Database launched on 23 September last (who the explanation of the motivations and objectives). Here’s who they are and what they do.

Divinea is a startup that has developed a platform for wine tourism. It closed a capital increase of 300 thousand euros participated by private investors and wine groups. The startup was founded in 2019 by Matteo Ranghetti, Filippo Galanti and Carlo Rossi Chauvenet: its goal is to help Italian wineries increase direct sales.

Microchannel Devices is a startup that develops heat exchangers for the Hydrogen, Power Generation and Oil & Gas sectors. It closed a € 2 million investment round led by LIFTT (€ 750 thousand) and participated by Elysia Capital and Club degli Investitori (€ 250 thousand). The company was founded in Turin in 2019 as an evolution of a project by STV Group, a company of Alessandro Vaiarelli.

Walliance has developed a platform to allow anyone to invest in real estate through “crowdinvesting” operations. It is a startup founded in 2016 by Giacomo Bertoldi, Gianluca Bertoldi and Marco Mongera and has closed a 4 million euro investment round with Seac Fin Spa (headed by Confcommercio Trentino) and Botzen Invest Euregio Finance AG (private investment company in South Tyrol).

Enerbrain develops hardware and software technology to optimize energy consumption for air conditioning and reduce CO2 emissions. It closed a € 5.2 million investment round led by the French energy giant EDF. The round was also attended by Iren, Equiter, Azimut and Gellify. The company was founded in Turin in 2015 by Giuseppe Giordano, Filippo Ferraris and Marco Martellacci and was incubated by the Polytechnic of Turin.

Ermes has developed develops an anti-phishing solution based on Artificial Intelligence algorithms to help companies protect their employees from targeted attacks while surfing the web. It closed a one million euro investment round. The company, which has not disclosed who the investors are, was founded in 2018 by Hassan Metwalley within the incubator of the Politecnico di Torino (I3P). He had already closed a round of 600 thousand euros with Invitalia and angel, including Angelo Italiano.

Freedome, a startup that has developed an outdoor experience marketplace, has closed a round of 600 thousand euros with SocialFare Seed, Bios Line Holding and business angel. The startup was founded in 2019 by Michele Mezzanzanica, Simone Ferlisi and Manuel Siclari and was incubated by I3P, the incubator of the Polytechnic of Turin.
Rebo is a startup that produces a smart bottle with which it transforms every sip into a plastic credit which is then used to pay those who collect plastics through sponsors. It closed an undisclosed investment round with Gellify and Azimut Digitech Fund. The company was founded in 2019 by Pierandrea Quarta, Francesco Abbate, Eduardo Atamoros and Fabio Mancini.

Relive is a startup that wants to liven up auctions with Artificial Intelligence tools and experiential marketing. Founded in 2017 by Ivano De Natale and Giulio License, it closed a 300 thousand euro investment round with a business angel.
