Papilloma virus and World Women’s Day, free screening for prevention

In honor of World Day against HPV (Papilloma Virus) and International Women’s Day, the Lombardy Region is making strides towards the prevention and early detection of HPV-related diseases. To mark this important occasion, open days on screening and prevention will be held at ASST Rhodense on 9 March 2024.

Women aged 45 to 49 and 50 to 74 will have the opportunity to book mammography screenings through the health booking portal. For cervical screenings, women aged 25 to 29 can request a PAP TEST appointment via email, while women aged 30 to 64 can request an HPV DNA TEST appointment during the designated time frame.

Additionally, the region is offering the HPV vaccine to boys aged 11 to 18, girls aged 11 to 26, and at-risk categories. Those interested can access the vaccine for free or make a reservation by contacting the CALL CENTER at the toll-free number 800.671.671. The CALL CENTER is open from 9:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday.

These initiatives aim to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection of HPV-related diseases. For more information on vaccinations and screening, individuals are encouraged to visit the provided links. Let’s work together to protect our community’s health and well-being.
