Partnership between Malala and AppleTv + to produce fiction, comedies, documentaries and cartoons: “A stimulus for everyone”

Apple announced its multi-year Apple TV + programming collaboration with women’s rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai. The streaming broadcaster has planned programs that include fiction, comedies, documentaries, cartoons and children’s series: The goal: to inspire as many people around the world as possible.

“I believe in the power of stories to bring families together, make friends, build movements and inspire children to dream,” said Malala. “And I couldn’t ask for a better partner than Apple. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support women, young people, writers and artists in telling the world as they see it.”

Malala and her new production company Extracurricular join the large Apple group, which includes Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Will Smith, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Idris Elba, Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Alfonso Cuarón and many others.

At the age of 16 Malala published her memoir “I am Malala”. She has since written two more books, starred in a documentary about her early life, and created Assembly, a digital publication for girls and young women available on Apple News. He has been collaborating with Apple for many years in fact. Since launching in 2018, Assembly has published young women’s stories in more than 100 countries and in over 20 languages.

Malala founded the Malala Fund to support the right to free, quality education for every girl for 12 years. In 2018, Apple became the first partner of the Malala Fund, supporting the organization’s work with local supporters and teachers in eight countries where girls face significant educational challenges. Apple also assists with technology and curricula.
