Pasquale Gianluca Giuri is the new director of the UO of Internal Medicine of the Santa Maria di Borgotaro Hospital of the Usl Company. Today, March 16, the fifty-year-old takes the baton from Michele Meschi, who continues to direct the Internal Medicine Unit of the Vaio Hospital.

Born in Lecce, class of 1971, after graduating in medicine and surgery he specialized in infectious diseases and completed specialization courses in infectious diseases, ultrasound diagnostics in internal medicine and vascular ultrasound diagnostics, in addition to managerial training courses for managers of simple structure and complex structure. For 17 years he has been working at the Local Health Authority of Reggio Emilia, where he has gained extensive experience in all the sections in which the Internal Medicine Unit is divided. From 2017 until this new post, he was director of the Departmental UOS of Infectious Medicine at the Sant’Anna Hospital in Reggio Emilia.
Dr. Giuri has a wide scientific production to his credit and counts on his participation as a speaker at numerous events, congresses and seminars.
THE INTERNAL MEDICINE UNIT OF SANTA MARIA DI BORGOTARO – The Medicine Unit is structured in different areas managed according to the model for intensity of care: an acute area, one with high clinical value for the management of critically ill patients also in post-operative, a brief internal observation and a post-acute long-term hospitalization. Furthermore, still within the hospital area, aimed at guaranteeing continuity of hospital-territory care, there are also nursing management services: long-term care (with 18 beds) and hospice, as well as numerous specialist clinics.
