Rome, April 15 (beraking latest news Salute) – Gsk Italia received the recognition of “Health Friendly Company”, awarded by Fondazione Onda today during an online event. After certifying women’s-friendly hospitals with the well-known ‘pink sticker’, Fondazione Onda – National Observatory on Women’s and Gender Health – took a look at the corporate realities. The initiative recognizes, with a ‘lilac sticker’, companies that stand out for their commitment to protecting the health of their employees.

A path reserved for selected companies that, like GSK – the company reports in a note – have shown that they care about the physical and mental well-being of their staff, with particular attention also to women’s health, and promote policies with foresight companies aimed at protecting it. “This recognition, referring to all GSK offices in Italy and to the subsidiary ViiV Healthcare, is another step in the company path full of initiatives and goals in terms of corporate welfare and gender policies, shared at the country level”, comments GSK. The company recalls having signed the ValoreD manifesto in May 2019, committing itself to 9 points, measurable with concrete indicators, to promote female employment.

For some time now, paths and services to support parenting have been in place – the note reports – to which, in November last year, the new Parental Leave Policy was added, based on a conception of an emotional family, to offer equal treatment to all. the parents. Always in support of maternity and paternity, dedicated paths such as company nurseries, conventions, summer camps, flexible benefits, together with expanded paternity leave, forms of working flexibility and smart working must be included.

The photograph of GSK – continues the note – returns an overall picture of gender equality, with 50.6% of female collaborators: a fair but at the same time high percentage, if we consider that in industry women are 29% and in the Pharma 43%. Female leadership is also growing, with 49% of women in managerial roles. Great attention was paid to the salary issue to ensure full salary equity without any gender pay gap.

Finally, space for the Employee Resource Groups, communities animated by colleagues and aimed at strengthening the culture of inclusion: in particular, the Women Leadership Initiative, launched on 8 March last, is dedicated to female employment.
