Pharmacies open after working hours and also on scheduled closing days to meet the requests for tampons by citizens for the purpose of the green pass, necessary to access workplaces. The proposal of the Federation of the orders of Italian pharmacists (Fofi) was accepted by the extraordinary commissioner for the Covid emergency Francesco Figliuolo, who asked the Regions to facilitate pharmacies in this direction. A service always available in the area, therefore, will be put in place by pharmacies, ready to carry out rapid tests even without a reservation. The goal, explains Fofi, is to expand the execution of rapid swabs in pharmacies in order to respond precisely to the obligation of green certification in the workplace. Commissioner Figliuolo, after consulting the Ministry of Health, therefore asked the Regions to facilitate pharmacies so that they can continue to carry out rapid antigenic swabs beyond the hours and on closing days and can perform swabs even in cases where the subjects do not are booked. For their part, assures the Federation, the pharmacists “will be able to take advantage of this opportunity to make a service even more effective and efficient”.
