PISTOIA. “She went luxury,” says Gianna Mosi, manager of Fenice Pistoia, a local volleyball club.
The news, picked up by the mayoral candidate of the “Pistoia really” civic list, Iacopo Vespignani, has sparked a wide debate on social media. “We have all the gyms up to standard,” Vespignani jokes, without hiding sarcasm for the work of the Tomasi administration on sports facilities.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at the gymnasium of the Cino da Pistoia middle school, where the first division team of Pistoia Volley La Fenie carries out its training. To tell the same Gianna Mosi, who was present in the gym: «It happened to a girl from the company where I am a manager. She was hit by the tent while they were training. I can assure you that she “went luxury” as they say in Pistoia. If instead of the curtain, on the girl’s head, her support fell, she could get really hurt ».
The manager of Pistoia Volley does not hide her concern about the conditions of the gym Cino: «It’s raining, I have photos of the buckets. There is a piece of loose linoleum where we put some tape to hold it down. In short, a gym where we do the First and Second Division competitions reduced in these conditions. We played the Under 19 territorial semifinal and the Serie B gives us a training session ». Mosi also reports problems in Monteoliveto: «Another gym where we train with all the groups. The one that is not up to standard. At Anna Frank, on Saturday evening after the game, if the girls (ours are used to it but the opponents are a little less) dry their hair with a hairdryer, the power goes out. Very modern electrical system », concludes Mosi, not without irony.
