According to reports, the sales volume of PlayStation 5 game consoles in Japan is better than that of PS4 and PS Vita in the same period. However, it is hard to believe that such a high-selling game console cannot bring the sales of physical games. Recently, relevant analysis has pointed out that this may have a lot to do with the lack of mainframe supply.

Up to now, the sales figures of Sony’s physical games are surprising. For example, the sales of “Final Fantasy 7” remake physical games in Japan are only 20,889 sets, and the sales of “Rift Apart” are so small that only 14,663 sets are sold. In addition, the physical game sales of the PS 5 version of “GUILTY GEAR” disappeared from the top ten sales list of physical games. Although it is necessary to consider that physical games will be affected by the digital version of the game, if you compare the sales of 71,241 sets of Nintendo’s new physical version of the game “Game Builder Garage”, you can intuitively see the gap between the two.
For this sales situation, some foreign media analysis pointed out that the biggest reason for the sluggish sales of Sony PS5 physical games is that the PS 5 console is seriously out of stock or sold out. The supply quantity is far less than the market demand, and some consoles are sold. In other parts of Asia outside of Japan, ordinary players can’t even buy the console, so the sales of physical games will naturally not be as good there. This reason is relatively easy to understand, after all, the PS 5 console is now really hard to find.
