Realme 8 Pro smartphone, the proof

by admin

Over the past six months, Realme has shown a great ability to question the big producers in Europe and Italy. Since the official launch in Europe last September, the manufacturer born in 2018 has already produced a line of mid-range smartphones (7 and 7 pro), multiple iterations of smartwatches and headphones, and is now preparing to launch a new line of smartphones of low-mid-range with premium features, starting with the realme 8 Pro.

Announced on March 24, the realme 8 Pro is a smartphone that is difficult to describe by making sensible comparisons: taking it without knowing what features it has, and trying it for a few days, the response is neutral: the battery lasts about a day, but even longer if no games or street navigation are used. The screen is bright, the body is light and the one written on the rear body, DARE TO LEAP, which occupies almost half of the surface, certainly does not go unnoticed. The sensor under the screen for fingerprint recognition, a bit like other realme smartphones, does not always work and is not perfectly reliable. Otherwise, it’s fast, doesn’t crash and goes smoothly in all apps and even with multitasking. This is expected from a mid-range smartphone, and so far there is nothing strange.

Then, however, everything changes when you open the Camera app: you know, we are used to taking photos with a certain type of smartphone only out of necessity, and not really to capture the best colors, the best lights and the best scene. Because there are mid-range and low-end smartphones, and then there are high-end ones, with which you can also take noteworthy photos. Realme 8 Pro challenges this paradigm: of course, it does not have the quality of a top of the range for over a thousand euros, but the color rendering is excellent, the artificial lights are not burned and the skin of the subjects is not softened too artificially.

Realme 8 Pro amazes, because trying it not knowing what is underneath, it is expected to be a top-of-the-range smartphone according to realme standards, and therefore a mid-range according to the market. And instead between real features and price, the smartphone really defies expectations.

Starting from the features: Snapdragon 720G chip, 4500 mAh battery, 6.4 “Super AMOLED Full HD display with a touch sampling rate up to 180 Hz and brightness up to 1000 nits, 50W charging that charges 50% less than 20 minutes, 176 grams of weight for 8.1 mm of thickness and a Ultra Quad Camera da ben 108 megapixel, a system that combines 9 adjacent pixels from 0.7 micrometers to form 2.1 micrometers pixels, much larger than many top of the range today. The zoom is also processed to take 3 different 12MP photos 8 times and get the best combination in terms of light, contrast and sharpness. The data sheet is completed by the dual SIM dual standby configuration, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, expandable up to another 256 GB.

The price is the last point that really changes the perspective: with all these features, realme 8 Pro costs 279 euro, which is the price of a low-end smartphone.
