Diablo Immortal has faced a lot of criticism since its launch in early June. The game has been dragged into the mud by fans who discovered the impact of microtransactions on the game’s ending, and over the past four weeks we’ve seen stories of players spending thousands of dollars in search of better loot, sometimes without success.
But how much money did Diablo Immortal and its microtransactions make throughout June, you ask? Well, according to data collection site Appmagic (thanks, Mobilegamer), that figure is less than $50 million. In fact, it’s $48,988,970 to be exact, and it’s spread in such a way that Diablo Immortal has pulled in over $1 million for Blizzard every day since its release.
That’s on top of 10 million total downloads, of course, which has seen Immortal have the biggest launch in Diablo history, as Diablo III reportedly hit the 10 million sales mark six weeks after its release.
Have you ever played Diablo Immortal and likewise have you felt the effects of microtransactions?
