Respiratory syncytial virus, the nirsevimab antibody in the vaccination schedule in Spain

Next winter, Spanish children will have one more weapon to defend themselves against respiratory syncytial virus bronchiolitis. In Spain, the Regions of Galicia, Catalonia and Madrid have officially included the monoclonal antibody nirsevimab in their respective immunization schedules for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus infections in all infants and children in their first epidemic season.
