Roomie and the other startups entered in the Italian Tech database

Roomie, Kither Biotech, Eggtronic, Prontopro, Oval Money, Helbiz, Matipay and Sweetguest are the 8 new startups that have entered the Startup Database of Italian Tech which debuted on 23 September last (here the explanation of the reasons and objectives). Here is more in detail who they are and how they grow.

Roomie is a startup founded in Milan in 2016 by Alessandro Urbani. It deals with co-living and develops solutions related to the need to find quality rooms for rent in Milan. After 5 years, Roomie has a portfolio of over 800 housing solutions and over 4 thousand customers.

Kither Biotech is a spin-off of the University of Turin focused on the development of new medical therapies in the lung field. In 2019, it closed a Series A round of 5.6 million euro financing participated by Claris Ventures, Club degli Investitori, Invitalia Ventures SGR, Italian Angels for Growth (IAG).

Eggtronic is a startup active in the semiconductor market and high energy efficiency technological solutions. Founded in Modena in 2012 by Igor Spinella, the company closed a round of 6.5 million in 2019 involving the London fund Rinkelberg Capital.

Prontopro is a startup founded in 2015 by Marco Ogliengo and Silvia Wang who developed a platform that helps people find the professional they need. In 2019 the company raised 6 million in a round led by Immobiliare.it. The following year he closed a 7 million round. To date, the company has raised 15.4 million in loans.

Oval Money is a fintech startup who has developed a platform that works like a digital piggy bank. Founded in 2016 by Benedetta Arese Lucini, Claudio Bedino, Edoardo Benedetto and Simone Marzola, the company closed a Series A round of 4.6 million in 2019 attended by Eurizon Capital. In 2021 Oval was acquired by ETX Capital.

Helbiz is a startup active in the micro-mobility sector and smart mobility. Founded in Milan in 2015 by Salvatore Palella, in 2019 it raised 7 million. In 2021 it was listed on the Nasdaq.

Matipay is a fintech startup (founded in 2016 by Matteo Pertosa) which has developed a payment system that allows you to purchase services and products online in cash, using the physical network of banknote readers and coin acceptors of the automatic vending machines. In 2019, the startup closed a € 7 million round led by Neva Finventures.

Sweetguest is a real estate management platform for short rentals. In 2019, the startup closed an 8 million euro capital increase. Among the investors Indaco Ventures Partners SGR and Invitalia Ventures SGR. The startup was founded in 2016 by Edoardo Grattirola, Rocco Lomazzi and Jacopo Vanetti.
