Round seed of 1.8 million euros for Futura, an Italian start-up of edtech

Edtech – the market for technological products and services for training – is growing rapidly. With the restrictions of Covid-19 and the exponential evolution of digital in recent years, in fact, we have begun to invest more and more in the online training of students and professionals.

A trend that has captured the interest of large investors, who have seen a great business opportunity in the sector.

In the hunt for the most promising Italian start-up, Futura seems to have won, which benefited from a record round of 1.8 million euros. Led by three very young under 25s – Andrea Chirolli, Francesco Salvatore and Lorenzo Pinto – it was born in 2020 with the aim of developing artificial intelligence models to improve and evolve the study and learning process, creating personalized paths that adapt to the speed of learning of each student.

Specifically, it is a platform specialized in teaching aimed at passing university admission tests and in tutoring, through courses run by selected teachers and offered on a monthly basis.

In practice, Futura exploits the potential of its platform to test the skills of each individual student and create a personalized study path that updates according to the progress of learning. A method that in less than two years has made the start-up achieve considerable milestones with over 1,500 students enrolled, with an average growth of 20% month on month and a team that has grown from three to 15 members.
