Safe and sustainable viability, the Argo Innovation Lab platform is born

by admin

Is called Argo Innovation Lab is a platform that has just been put online which aims to involve universities, research centers, startups and companies to develop ideas and projects for technological solutions in the sphere of sustainable mobility and infrastructure safety.

The platform is promoted by Movyon, a technological spin-off of Autostrade per l’Italia, and Elis Innovation Hub: those who want to join will be asked to propose project ideas regarding the monitoring of works, design and maintenance, safety and fluidity of the motorway network and environmental sustainability, as well as forecasting models and for the analysis and management of data , performance, supervision and organization of construction sites.

The project, reads a note from Aspi, should make it possible to “cover the innovation needs of the group, creating concrete opportunities with a view to open innovation that allows the best excellence in the sphere of national research to be integrated into the system”. The interesting aspect is that the challenges will be shared in a “call for ideas” which will allow Movyon to identify proposals and talents. Until July 12th, the platform will collect the applications, then a jury will select the best proposals that will be subsequently developed, following a two-phase process: 4 months for the creation of the prototypes and for the feasibility studies; 8 months for their eventual field experimentation.

Second Lorenzo Rossi, CEO of Movyon, “this initiative is fully in line with the spirit and objectives of our company. We believe in a culture of open and participatory innovation”, while the director of Elis Innovation Hub, Luigi de Costanzo, he recalled that “we develop innovation projects and business consultancy thanks to a collaborative approach that creates real synergy between large companies, startups, universities and young people”.
