Sanremo, Amadeus da Fiorello confirms: “The meeting with Rai took place. But I won’t do the Festival again”

The meeting took place, but it would not have ended well. It’s the same Amadeus to confirm that Rai is back on the attack with Sanremo, asking the host to take back the reins of the festival – for the sixth time – after the rumors that spoke both of a new meeting between Viale Mazzini and the host and of the repeated no’s that would have been pronounced by other presenters who had been asked to collect the very heavy legacy of five editions of successes that were difficult to match.

Amadeus has been talking about it for Fiorello, live on Viva Rai 2!, one of the “surprise” phone calls from the showman, who usually throws friends and acquaintances out of bed. It all starts from a background story published by TvBlog, according to which, in fact, there would have been a meeting between Rai and the ratings champion (not only with Sanremo: also Your business proceeds with large numbers).

“I was shaving… It’s true, there was a meeting, yes, but I don’t do Sanremo” says the host in a video call from Milan: on the other hand it was no mystery that there would be an attempt, Rai itself had announced, on the last day of the Festival, that it would wait a couple of weeks and then review the situation with the host. Who, however, had strongly reiterated the need to stop and therefore the conviction to say no to a sixth edition.
