On the occasion of the meeting of the Mayors’ Conference of the Ulss 2 Marca Trevigiana Company held today, an update on medical assistance in the area was shared with the municipal administrations, compared to the first meeting held on 16 July. In particular with regard to General Medicine, the current situation of the assignments of the deficient areas 2021, which took place in August, was represented. The assignment process will now continue with the following steps:

1) procedure for the offer of zones at national level
2) procedure for offering the residual areas to doctors attending the training school in general medicine.

In the meantime, to cope with the new retirements, Ulss 2 has provided for the request for an increase in the limits of doctors and for the recruitment of temporary officers. The collaboration with the General Practitioner has also contributed to ensuring the coverage of the Continuity Care shifts. In order to deal with the problem of the shortage of doctors, which is of a general nature and it is feared that it will not be overcome soon, a project is being developed, in synergy with the municipal administrations, aimed at expanding the assistance offer in favor of citizens. .
