There is Sibylla Biotech, a startup that works at development of new drugs to block the formation process of carcinogenic proteins thanks to computational biology, but there are also Heres, Zappyrent, Mysecret Case, Xfarm, RockAgent, SixthContinent and Dottori.it: these are the 8 new startups that have entered the Startup Database of Italian Tech which debuted on 23 September last (here the explanation of the reasons and objectives). Heres is a startup founded in Bologna in 2017 by Andrea Gabrielli and Matteo Ligabue who develops conversational interfaces (chatbot and voicebot) multichannel and multilingual to automate business processes and improve the customer experience.

Sibylla Biotech is a spin-off born in 2017 from the Universities of Trento and Perugia and the National Institute of Nuclear Physics. Founded by Lidia Pieri, Giovanni Spagnolli, Graziano Lolli, Maria Letizia Barreca and Pietro Faccioli, the company has patented a protocol for researching new cancer drugs. In 2019 it closed a € 2.4 million round with the Vertis Venture 3 Tech Transfer fund. Since 2021 it has been incubated at the Technological Pole of Trento, the business incubator of Trentino Sviluppo.

Zappyrent is a startup founded in March 2018 in Catania by Antonino and Lino Leonardi with the aim of making the rental of an apartment or room a simple and economical experience, at the same time safe for all owners who want to make their property an income. In 2019 it closed a round of 2.5 million euros. Investors include top managers of technology companies as well as Alberto Genovese.

Mysecret Case is a startup born in 2015 as an ecommerce of sex toys has grown evolving into a portal of sexuality where you can find articles that talk about sex education and health. Founded by Norma Rossetti, in 2019 it closed a 1.5 million round attended by R301 Capital, B Heroes and Italian and international business angels.

Xfarm is a startup founded in 2017 by Martino Poretti, Matteo Vanotti, and Salvatore Ferullo. Develop tools for the digitization of farms. In 2019 it closed a round of 3 million underwritten by United Ventures and TiVenture, venture capital of the BancaStato Centenario Foundation (Switzerland).

RockAgent is a startup founded in Rome in 2018 by Daniel Debash who deals with real estate, creating a hybrid agency. In particular, it has developed a platform based on VR, big data and algorithms to improve the matching between demand and supply of properties. In 2019 it closed a capital increase of 3 million euros.

SixthContinent, founded in 2014, deals with new marketing models for purchases. In the summer, a 3.3 million euro equity crowdfunding campaign closed on the 200Crowd platform.

Dottori.it is a startup founded by Silvio Pagliani in 2013 which has developed a platform for booking specialist medical examinations. In 2019 it closed a capital increase of 3.5 million euros. To lead the financing, Immobiliare.it. In 2021 the company was acquired by Doctolib, a French scale-up that deals with digital health.
