Firesprite Studios, recently acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment SIE, announced the acquisition of Fabrik Games, a studio headquartered in northwest England.
Fabrik Games was founded in 2014 by Graeme Ankers, Managing Director of Firesprite. Its vision is to create, distribute and support new video game experiences in the Manchester area, including the release of multiple independent games. Fabrik Games recently collaborated with Firespite to release the first-person survival horror shooting game “Endless Reincarnation” on multiple platforms.
Firsprite’s acquisition of FabrikGames will play a key role in strengthening the exclusive game camp under the SIE camp for the studio, bringing the total number of Firsprite studio employees to 265.
Firerespite Managing Director Graeme Ankers said: “I am pleased to announce that we will combine FabrikGames and Firerespite as a new step in our cooperation with PlayStation Studio. They are a team of passionate and loyal developers. Industry veteran leaders who have participated in many 3A games. We look forward to strengthening our creative talent lineup as we continue to provide a truly unique experience for PlayStation fans.”
