Sony announced the heavy news at CES 2022 that they have also followed the pace of market competitors and officially entered the generation of quantum dot QD-OLED panel technology. Their latest flagship A95K will be available in 55- and 65-inch versions, and claims to have a wider viewing angle and a richer color gamut. But the biggest kill of Sony TV this year is the brand new Bravia Cam, which is a small protrusion at the top of the picture.
Sony said that this external camera will have multiple uses, including unintentional video calls. More importantly, it can analyze the ambient light and color temperature through the “eyes” to adjust the picture; the built-in microphone can also be used for Analyze the sound. It even supports gesture operations, and can dim the brightness when there is no viewer in front of the TV, or warn when children are sitting too close. All Sony TVs in 2022 will support Bravia Cam, but only the flagship A95K and Z9K will be included. Others need to be purchased separately.

In terms of software, Sony has added the ability to adjust the color temperature of the TV-type Netflix original mode in 2022, and also added the Bravia Core Calibrated Mode, which is close to the original color seen by the director.
