Space missions. From bones to eyes: microgravity changes the body of astronauts

Past missions, from Apollo to Shuttle, lasted an average of 14 days. Those aboard the International Space Station have extended the time spent in space to six months. Living for such long periods in a condition of microgravity, for which our body has neither been programmed nor trained, is not without consequences.
