Spotify e Discord have been ‘down’ for millions of users around the world. Even in Italy it was impossible to access Spotify. Anyone who tried was logged out and bounced out of his account. The disservice, as far as Spotify is concerned, began shortly after 19 in Italy. The situation appears to have returned to normal around 20:20.
The DownDetector site (which monitors the functioning of the most popular services on the web, as well as the correct functioning of mobile phone operators as well) has reported problems with both the epodcast streaming music platform and the messaging platform.
In a tweet, Discord said it was “aware of an issue preventing messages from being sent” and that it is “working to fix it”.
On the Twitter profile of Spotify, however, there are no official communications relating to technical issues.
Social irony and memes are inevitable mainly related to the malfunction of Spotify. Many say they do not remember their username and password by heart, and fear the moment when the service will return to work and will be forced to enter their data to log in.
Reset your password, if you know your username and e-mail address provided at registration, this is not a problem. Those who usually log in with their Google and Facebook accounts should have no difficulty. In the end, who usually accesses the Spotify web playercan check if username and password are stored in the data that the browser usually keeps in memory.
Recall that the log out from Spotify may also have affected Alexa: in this case the Amazon speaker will have to be reconfigured to access the streaming through voice commands.
