Few video game companies have a better excuse to delay their games than GSC Game World, a Ukrainian developer affected by Russian aggression. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl was originally scheduled to come out this year, but the post-war chaos made it difficult for most to stick to those plans. Sure enough, a 2023 delay has now been confirmed, but not everything is bad (talking about gaming).
During the recently concluded Xbox Games Showcase: Extended, we got a video diary from a developer that gave us unique insights into what it takes to be a developer in a peaceful democracy that is suddenly ravaged by war. Why stop there? The developers also shared a new trailer showing STALKER2: The Beginning of the Heart of Chernobyl, which feels very promising.
It’s been revealed that the game will launch in 2023 instead of this year, but luckily, it appears to be worth the wait. STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl launches on PC and Xbox Series S/X and is included with Game Pass from day one.
