One of the biggest surprises announced during Sony’s Playstation Showcase earlier was the official announcement of the remake of “Star Wars: Warriors of the Old Republic”, which has been confirmed to be released to Playstation 5. The original version was launched on Xbox in 2003 and is generally considered to be one of the best “Star Wars” titles ever.

But what about other formats? On the Playstation blog, more details are disclosed. It seems that this work will also go to PC, and it is not entirely hopeless for Xbox players (and other platform users). Because Sony calls this “Playstation 5 console exclusive at the time of release”-usually, this is the way to describe a limited-time exclusive work.

Ryan Treadwell, Aspyr’s chief producer, was interviewed after the show and talked about the remake:

“We want to pay tribute to this original story and let it have an impact on today’s players. In terms of visual effects, we have the opportunity to present it with higher fidelity than in the past.”

This is almost all we want to hear. Are you looking forward to this work?
