The new website, which is aimed not only at those who are ill, but also at all other affected groups in society, offers a list of current advice and support offers and a new service number for the citizens’ hotline, as well as answers to the most frequently asked questions about Long COVID. In addition, current research results and studies are recorded and various perspectives from science and research are presented in guest contributions.

From 2024, the BMG will fund care-related research on Long COVID. EUR 21 million will be made available for this. The funding focuses on model projects in which innovative forms of care for the treatment of long-COVID-affected people are developed and tested. In addition, further research projects on Long COVID are funded via the innovation fund at the G-BA. A further 20 million euros are available for this.

In autumn 2023, Federal Health Minister Prof. Karl Lauterbach wants to invite representatives of the various groups affected by the topic to a round table. The participants should be given the opportunity to exchange ideas about how to deal with Long COVID.
