Startup: the round of Easyrain, Planet Farms and the others of the Italian Tech db

There is Easyrain, the automotive startup that deals with road safety and has just closed a round of 5 million, there is Planet Farms, the vertical farm of Luca Travaglini (who won the Italian Tech Award yesterday) and Daniele Benatoff, but there are also Manebì, Traipler, Vidoser, Factor@Work, TechMass, Bandyer e WeStudents: these are the new startups that entered the Italian Tech Startup Database which debuted last September 23 (who the explanation of the motivations and objectives). Here is more in detail who they are and how they grow.

Planet Farms, is a startup based in Milan, founded in 2017 by Luca Travaglini and Daniele Benatoff. It has developed a vertical cultivation system, able to harmonize the fundamental parameters for the growth of vegetables, obtaining a quality product, with low environmental impact and within everyone’s reach. In October 2021 near Milan, in Cavenago di Brianza, it inaugurated the largest vertical farm in Europe, one of the most advanced in terms of technology and automation. A few months earlier, in April 2021, he closed a round (for an undeclared amount) with Red Circle Investments.

Manebì is a company founded in 2012 by Antonello Benati and Vera Drossopulo Bogdano, which deals with summer footwear. In 2019 it closed a round (for an undeclared amount) with Milano Investment Partners SGR, the management company of which Angelo Moratti is also a shareholder.

Traipler is a startup founded in 2010 by Gianluca Ignazzi, Christian Muolo, Magie Cannizzaro and Aldo Ricci, which creates videos for companies. In 2019 it closed a capital increase (for an undeclared amount) with Gellify.

Vidoser, is a startup that has developed a system that puts in

communication the big brands with micro-influencers, people with a

discreet following on social networks. Founded in Catania in 2018 by Alessandro La Rosa, Antonio Puleo and Raffaele Barone, in 2019 it closed a round (for an undeclared amount) with Friendz.

Factor@Work is a fintech startup that deals with commercial invoices. Founded in 2016, in 2019 it was acquired (51%) by Teamsystem Group for integration into its management systems.

TechMass is a startup founded in 2017 by Andrea Massenzi that deals with data collection and analysis for the manufacturing sector. In 2019 it closed a round of 200 thousand euros with Gellify. The same year it was acquired by the Teamsystem Group.

Bandyer is a startup based in Milan that offers cloud-based audio and video communication services to financial institutions. Founded by Filippo Rocca and Simone Mazzoni in 2014, it closed a round by raising 1.2 million from Intesa Sanpaolo and yes business angel. In 2021 it was acquired by Kaleyra, a group specializing in the provision of mobile messaging services for banks and companies.

WeStudents is an EduTech startup dedicated to students. Founded by Giorgio Morelli, Matteo Giardino and Matteo De Lucia, and based in Turin, it has launched an app that allows students to interact with your school registry and classmates. They invested in the company in 2019 too Maider srl, private equity and venture capital firms, and others business angel.
