The study, conducted by VMS among 982 identified clinics and hospitals with certified or accredited specialists, sheds light on the preferences of professionals in the country.

According to the data, feline medicine is the most popular specialty, with 341 centers offering specialized services for cats. Following closely behind are exotic animals, dermatology, cardiology, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, oncology, ophthalmology, surgery, ethology, and emergencies, all of which have a significant presence in the veterinary centers identified in the study.

These findings highlight the commitment of the Spanish veterinary community to providing excellence in animal care and meeting the growing demand for specialized services from owners. With a focus on preventive medicine and advanced treatment, the Spanish veterinary landscape is continuously adapting to meet the changing needs of a society that values its animal companions deeply.
