Group of Minors Arrested for Vandalism in Orbassano
A group of eight minors have been arrested in Orbassano for causing havoc in the city during the Christmas holidays. The group, who had entered a gym in via Neghelli, forced their way in and began throwing various objects from the roof at pedestrians and passing cars. The reckless behavior led to calls to the local police station, with pedestrians and motorists being alarmed by the target shooting from the roof.
The minors, all from outside of Orbassano, usually meet in the town during school holidays and are known to cause trouble. The local police patrols showed up in front of the gym after receiving reports and the group attempted to run away. However, some were blocked and identified, leading to investigations that concluded two days ago.
During the investigation, some of the minors tried to shift responsibility to third parties but ultimately all members of the group were found to be responsible for the vandalism. Orbassano has had issues with vandalism and pranks by young people in the past, leading the administration to strengthen video surveillance services in public spaces.
The group has been reported for damaging and throwing objects in public places and the administration is working to better control public spaces and deter similar behavior in the future.
