by admin

Digitization, boom in demand for domestic well-being and post-pandemic reopening of economies launch the accounts of Techogym, which closes the first half of 2021 with revenues of 276.3 million euros, up from 24.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2020, the one most impacted by Covid-19.

Sales are mainly driven by the b2c segment, which showed an increase of 56.5% to 97.2 million, and the Europe area, with a turnover of 127.8 million (+ 20.7%). Among the distribution channels, significant increases were recorded by retail (+ 25%) and inside sales (+ 49.3%), the one to which the e-commerce segment belongs: commercial structures that are well suited to home fitness.

Adjusted EBITDA was 48 million, 28.7% more than the 37.3 in the first half of 2020, while group profit, equal to 20 million, recorded year-on-year growth of 55.4 %. Positive net financial position of 70.4 million, 10.4 more than at the end of 2020, thanks to the cash generation of the group, equal to 31.6 million pre-tax, and the proceeds from the sale of the subsidiary Amleto Aps, which generated a capital gain of 11.1 million.

In the current year, the Romagna company aims above all to grow in the digital field, with the spread of the professional b2b platform Mywellness, now reaching 20 million users, and with the launch, in June, of the Technogym App, aimed at diffusion of a healthy lifestyle at home, a need that has grown particularly in the pandemic year.

For the CEO and president of the company, Nerio Alessandri, the group’s success is also demonstrated by the fact that “these days 12,000 athletes from all over the world are training with Technogym digital products and solutions at the Tokyo Olympics, where for the eighth time the company has been chosen as the official supplier “. In Piazza Affari the stock, despite the accounts, closed trading down: -2.66% to 10.59 euros. (All rights reserved)
