Virginia Stagni, a Bocconi graduate and a master’s degree at LSE, won the award for best digital innovators in 2020 as director of the Financial Times Talent Hub. Stagni, from Bologna who moved to London five years ago, received in September 2020 the “International Media and News Association (Inma) 30 under 30” award for the Business Intelligence category: in practice she was considered one of the thirty best innovators under the thirty years in the field of digital information. Stagni was also named the Grand Prize Winner for Europe in the same award, essentially the number one for European innovators in the sector. Virgina was the first Italian citizen to have received the prestigious award.

For the Financial Times, Stagni is Business Development Manager: her role consists in the growth strategy of the City newspaper, where she is considered a key figure in keeping the FT one of the most innovative media on the market. Virginia set another record even before winning the 2020 award: she is in fact the youngest manager in the 132-year history of the Financial Times. FT Talent Challenge, the hub she directs, attracts hundreds of young talents from all over the world to build the future of the publishing business in a new and creative way.

Live appointment at 12:30 on 28 May 2021 on the Italian Tech website, the Gedi content hub dedicated to technology and innovation, and on other publications of the Gedi Group such as Repubblica.it and LaStampa.it.
