Swedish developer 10 Chambers just launched the next Rundown for its co-op horror shooter GTFO. Dubbed Rundown 7.0 Rise, this is unlike any Rundown before it, as it looks to add a new biome away from the game’s typically dark and dreary setup.
In particular, this comes in the form of a garden setting, which includes green fauna and flowering plants. But for those hoping that a more pleasant look means a lighter gameplay experience, the environment is also home to two terrifying new enemy types, which we’re told range from “sticky” to “immortal.”
To add to the garden environment, Rundown 7.0 Rise also offers ten new expeditions, an improved and updated Solo Tutorial mode, a more dynamic music system, improved graphics, new sound effects, and a more defined progression system. The best part is that you can check out all of these new features as part of the free Steam weekend, which starts today (18:00 BST / 19:00 CEST) and runs until June 20.
“It’s great to be able to offer a major update for free to our go away community, while being able to invite everyone to try out a free weekend on Steam,” said Robin Björkell, director of communications at 10 Chambers. We’ve added a separate tutorial level that will teach you the basic ropes to leave. But don’t keep playing alone; it’s better to play with friends; work together or die together.
Be sure to check out Rundown 7.0 Rise on PC now.
