In recent times, apps that help relax and take care of our mental health have become increasingly popular. And on this issue there is also now a thriving business.

This is demonstrated, for example, by a financial transaction that took place in recent days. The company that produces one of the most popular relaxation software, Headspace Inc, will in fact merge with Ginger, a company valued at a billion dollars by Blackstone that offers coaching 24/7 in the mental health sector and which already works supporting several companies, mainly American, including Domino’s Pizza and Pinterest. Therefore, a group will soon be born that will take care of mental health at 360 degrees, starting from a mobile app. So let’s see what the app market offers to combat stress, sleep better and try to prevent the small psychological problems that everyday life throws in our path. Obviously, there are also less sophisticated (and cheaper) applications of the three that we will see, but they are only suitable for impromptu use.

The Headspace app is certainly one of the most popular for relaxation, with around 70 million users, many of them paying. The service is not very cheap (the annual subscription costs € 57.99, the monthly one costs € 12.99, although there are often offers that allow you to spend less and there is a free trial period), but absolutely in line with that. of the other “serious” apps dedicated to mental health at 360 degrees.

In fact, the subscription is essential to be able to take full advantage of the services and practices made available by the app. Which consist of different exercises to be performed with constant frequency, better on a daily basis, perhaps dedicating several short moments of the day to these techniques. They range from breath control, to videos that teach how to deal with life’s tasks made by expert psychologists and updated frequently, to easy physical exercises that help loosen muscles and relaxation, to stories accompanied by ambient music and music to promote sleep. For example, a very well made video teaches to return without trauma in the presence after a more or less long period of smartworking.
