Fortnite GeForce Now

Earlier in January, NVIDIA started the closed beta login of “Fortnite” on GeForce Now, and let the lucky few qualified for the closed beta test through Safari on iOS or NVIDIA on Android. The GeForce Now app connects to the GeForce Now service to play Fortress Heroes via cloud streaming. After four months of open beta testing with 500,000 people and spanning “hundreds of mobile devices,” NVIDIA is ready to open it up to everyone.

NVIDIA says feedback from beta testers has allowed NVIDIA to optimize the touch and menu system. In order to thank all those who participated in the beta test, everyone who has signed up before will be given a three-day GeForce Now Priority service. In addition to speeding up the queue and extending the time for one online launch, they can also enjoy better picture quality. To be honest, three days seems a bit stingy (and advertised for Priority services?), but it’s better than nothing.

For now, it’s one of the few ways to play Fortress Heroes on iOS (the other being through Xbox Cloud Gaming), and while it’s not a native experience after all, it’s a bit of a mystery in the Epic and Apple/Google disputes. Cloud streaming should be the only way to go before it comes to an end.
