For years, the spearhead of the Italian industry at the crossroads between mechanics, robotics and IT, mechatronics has represented one of the most active sectors in the post-emergency restart phase, also thanks to its leadership in exports. Competition at an international level requires a high rate of innovation to be able to offer cutting-edge solutions in a market with a high rate of transformation.
Precisely for this reason the Italian Mechatronics Prize, now in its fifteenth edition, the competition of the Mechatronic Group of Unindustria Reggio Emilia is transformed this year, addressing young people, to enhance the talent and the connection of the university and research world with that of businesses.
The award is therefore open this year to projects (degree thesis, research doctorate, scientific publication or ad hoc study) carried out by undergraduates and graduates of Mechatronic Departments of national universities in collaboration with a company.
It is an innovative format, designed to enhance young people, give strong prominence to the synergies between companies and the world of research, and act as a further stimulus to strengthen the relationships between the Confindustria system and the academic world, and to all that ecosystem that promotes research activity in the field of mechatronics.
All projects that have been carried out at or on behalf of a company from October 2020 to October 2021 can participate in the Award; the closing date for applications has been extended to October 31, 2021.
