Located at Villa Mater Dei (formerly Villa Bianca), in Viale Pio X in Catanzaro, the department is responsible for verifying the existence of the physical conditions necessary to enable those who, at all ages, practicing sports, wish to play competitive competitions, rather than participate to competitions that involve passing physical tests, by issuing a specific certification (which is free of charge up to the age of 18).
The accuracy of the specialist doctor, in one with the attention paid by all the staff who support him, translates into a welcome from the public that makes the specific public service provided a flagship of the entire healthcare company.
It is only regrettable that the restrictions caused by the pandemic have drastically reduced the number of athletes visited on a daily basis, who could benefit in greater numbers from a first-rate level of performance, as already experienced for some years now by those who writes.
We therefore hope that the service will be fully restored because prevention is better than cure and the department in question does a good job of prevention, guaranteeing its patients, adults and children, the possibility to continue or start a healthy path of which the whole community can benefit.
A warm greeting to all the operators who work there and that I saw again with pleasure this year, although once again, during the stress test, they made me sweat seven shirts!
