The name of the street, via Medici, which runs next to the large area of San Bortolo does not actually lie. It is therefore no coincidence that a portion of the former milk plant is ready to become the center of medicine. The municipal administration does not leave the project initiated by the previous council, but rather doubles, preparing in collaboration with Ulss 8 Berica to transform the building on the corner of via Mentana and via Medici (in fact) into a real active clinic all day and all night. AND PART. For some time now the center that is now located in via Fincato ai Ferrovieri has been looking for a better accommodation. And the previous administration, at the time of studying the revitalization plan of the former milk plant, had agreed with the ULSS to carry out the ad hoc work in the corner building and transfer the medical outpatient clinics there. Not a small revolution for the city since it would bring an additional service to the neighborhood, San Bortolo, which obviously already houses the hospital. But there is more. In the last few months, the possibility of doubling the project has emerged, transferring the special care continuity unit that is now located in Strada Marosticana to the same building. This movement would make it possible to make the new structure operational at all hours of the day.
GROUP MEDICINE AT RAILWAYS – But the dominoes didn’t end there. Because once the building that now houses the medical guard has been vacated, another move will be made, as requested several times by the Railwaymen district. “We would like to be able to give an answer to group medicine – specifies the councilor for social work Matteo Tosetto – because there is already a request that has been presented by general practitioners who today find themselves in difficulty with the spaces and which could therefore occupy the rooms in via Fincato that would be released ».
The request came from the ViMed association and was also carried out by circle 7 of the Democratic Party which has repeatedly put pressure on the administration.
