The provision, a Decree of the President of the Republic, which will redesign the internal organization of the Dicastery of Lungotevere Ripa and Via Ribotta, should now be in the pipeline. Not a simple restyling but a real reorganization of the Dicastery which passes from 12 to 14 general directions always coordinated by the Secretary General who also takes over the functions of managing international relations. The new organization of the Ministry of Health is ready. It had been talked about for some time but finally the new regulation is ready and Health Newspaper is able to anticipate the draft of the Dpr. Not a simple restyling but a real reorganization of the Dicastery which passes from 12 to 14 general directions always coordinated by the Secretary General who also takes over the functions of managing international relations.

And there are several news. First of all, there are brand new directorates such as the Directorate General for Health Emergencies, the Directorate General for Mental Health and Frailties and the Directorate General for Health and Environment as well as the Directorate General for the digital transition of the health service. News also for the programming DG who will also take care of the Lea guarantee.

But here’s how the new Ministry of Health will be organized:
The Ministry of Health, hereinafter referred to as the “Ministry”, is divided into 14 General Directorates coordinated by a Secretary General, which take on the following names:

a) Directorate-General for health planning and for the guarantee of essential levels of assistance; b) Directorate-General for health prevention;
c) Directorate General for Health Emergencies;
d) Directorate-General for Mental Health and Frailties;
e) Directorate-General for Health and Environment;
f) Directorate-General for Hygiene and Food Safety and Nutrition;
g) Directorate-General for the health professions, for the personnel of the National Health Service and for the development of management in health;
h) Directorate-General for Research and Innovation in Health;
i) Directorate-General for Medical Devices, Technological Innovations and Pharmaceutical Service;
l) Directorate-General for Animal Health and Veterinary Medicines;
m) Directorate General for Institutional Communication, Transparency and Relations with Citizens;
n) Directorate General for the digital transition of the health service;
o) General management of personnel and instrumental resources;
p) Directorate-General for Planning and Budget;
