Russian astronauts found new cracks in the functional cargo module (Zarya) of the Dawn of the International Space Station (ISS). Vladimir Solovyov, chief engineer of the Russian Energy Rocket and Space Company (Energia), said: This is very bad. I am worried that the cracks may follow. Time expands.
The Dawning functional cargo module was launched into orbit on November 20, 1998, and was the first module created and launched by the International Space Station. These new cracks appeared after several recent accidents on the International Space Station. In March of this year, Russian astronauts sealed two small cracks about the thickness of human hair in the Zvezda module.
The Stars module facilities include the living quarters of two astronauts, the life support system of the space station, and the US part of the space station’s spare life support system. The tiny cracks in these modules are believed to be the source of air leaks that NASA and Aerospace Corp. have been investigating in the past few months.
In addition, when the newly installed Russian research module (Nauka) was docked in August this year, the booster rocket accidentally ignited and pushed the entire International Space Station away from its normal position. According to investigations, the cause of the accident was software malfunction and operation. Staff negligence. Accidents continue one after another, and the aging of the International Space Station is ongoing.
