They arrive the new tests for medicineveterinary and health professions. More major subjects: biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics, and less general culture and logic. The Minister of University and Research Maria Cristina Messa today signed the decree establishing the new composition of the entrance exams for degree courses. The news will be valid for the year 2022-2023while from 2023-2024 the Tolc (Cisia Online Test) will arrive, already foreseen for many other degree courses. They can be carried out as early as the fourth year of high school, twice a year. A solution that Messa had commented by saying: «In three or four tests a score is shown that makes you understand if you want to be a doctor or if it is not your job».

The number of places available for each course will be announced later. In announcing the new tests, at the beginning of June, the minister had declared: “We need to review these numbers and allow young people to bet more on the desire to take the university course of medicine”. The questions will be 60the maximum score 90 pointstime to respond 100 minutes. Each question will be multiple choice with 5 options to choose from. Below is the composition of the evidence.

Medicine, surgery, dentistry and dental prosthesis

  • 4 questions on reading skills and knowledge acquired in studies
  • 5 questions of logical reasoning and problems
  • 23 biology questions
  • 15 chemistry questions
  • 13 questions of physics and mathematics

Vet

  • 4 questions on reading skills and knowledge acquired in studies
  • 5 questions of logical reasoning and problems
  • 19 biology questions
  • 19 chemistry questions
  • 13 questions of physics and mathematics
