The new president of the interventional cardiological society is from Naples

Giovanni Esposito, born in 1968, is the new president of the Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology Gise. He will lead the scientific society until 2023, succeeding the outgoing president Giuseppe Tarantini. The announcement comes at the conclusion of the 42nd National Gise hybrid edition congress which took place in Milan. Esposito is the Uoc director of Cardiology, Hemodynamics, Utic of the AOU Federico II of Naples. Full Professor in Diseases of the Cardiovascular System, University of Naples Federico II and Director of the School of Specialization in Diseases of the Cardiovascular System.

In Gisedal 2007, he actively participated in the associative activities with a constant commitment and collaborating in the promotion of studies and drafting of consensus documents, sponsored by the Gise. Over the years he has held various corporate roles until becoming, in 2018, president of the Scientific Committee of the National Congress. At the conclusion of the congress, the President thanked the outgoing president, Tarantini and the Governing Council which has just finished its mandate. “Special thanks to the participants in this year’s National Congress – said Esposito -, which allowed us to meet again in the presence, and best wishes to the newly elected councilors for good work”.
