Niguarda is one of the best hospitals in the world. This is what emerges from the “World‘s best hospitals 2022″ ranking drawn up by Newsweek magazine, which examines 2,200 structures in 27 countries around the world. Leading the ranking are three American hospitals with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester at the top. Niguarda, however, is in the top 100: the hospital was classified in 50th place in the world ranking, second among national structures, after the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome and the first center among those of the Lombardy Region.
Along with the overall ranking, Newsweek has also compiled the list of the best hospitals in the world based on some clinical specialties. Niguarda is in 37th place for gastroenterology, 53rd for oncology, 80th for neurosurgery, 91st for cardiology and 96th for neurology.
