After a year of experimentation, the famous Thermite, the remote-controlled fire-fighting robot designed by Howe & Howe to deal with the most difficult flames and reduce the spread of fire, is ready to enter service.
It is available in two configurations: RS1 and RS3. The RS1 weighs 725kg and has a top speed of 10km / h. Obviously the difficulty compared to other robots is that Thermite needs a physical connection with a remote unit because the water has to arrive somewhere. So here is a kind of umbilical cord that passes something like 4,700 liters of water per minute.
Not only that: this robot can also be equipped with a plow to move burning cars, an air foam system and much more.
