There is Welmed, which has just closed a € 5 million round, but there are also Lirecento, Orafish, Athics, Switcho, Skinlabo, Caracol AM e Parentsmile: these are the eight new startups entered today in the Italian Tech Startup Database launched last September 23rd (who the explanation of the motivations and objectives). WelMed is a startup based in Milan and founded in 2017 by two doctors, Giulia Franchi and Marco Manzoni. It deals with digital health and has developed a platform to facilitate relationships between the various players in the healthcare sector (patients, professionals, healthcare facilities, companies), through data sharing (data driven approach). The company closed a € 5 million round led by Alchemy, investment company, operating mainly in venture capital.

Lirecento has just closed an equity crowdfunding campaign (resources versus quotas) on the platform Mamacrowd, raising 900 thousand euros. It is a startup specializing in the omnichannel sale of men’s trousers, designed and manufactured in Italy. Founded in 2017 by Carlo Battaglino and Luca Labbadini, the company, in October 2019, closed a 1.2 million euro round led by Global Founders Capital, a fund that belongs to the German holding Rocket Internet. To date, it has raised more than € 2 million in funding.

Orafish is a delivery startup that delivers fresh fish. It raised 1.15 million euros in crowdfunding with ALIcrowd (fund managed by Azimut Libera Impresa SGR) and other investors. The startup was founded in 2018 by Giacomo Bedetti and Alberto Mazza.

Athics has developed a Software as a Service (Saas) platform for virtual call center operators (conversational AI Agents): it uses Artificial Intelligence solutions. In practice, through the use of the platform, companies are able to reduce the time required to implement automation services and increase the productivity of their call center. He closed an undeclared investment round with Gellify e Azimut Digitech Fund. The company was founded in 2018 by Giuseppe Carrara.

Switcho is a startup that has developed an app to save on household expenses. It closed a € 2 million equity crowdfunding round led by ALIcrowd (Azimut Investments) and participated by 31 private investors. The company was founded in Milan in 2019 by Marco Tricarico, Redi Vyshka and Francesco Laffi.

Skinlabo, a startup that produces in Italy and sells high-end cosmetic products and beauty consulting services online throughout Europe, has closed a € 9.1 million investment round led by Vertis Venture 5 Scaleup. Qualified investors and business angels also took part in the round, including Immobiliare.it and Angelomario Moratti. The company was founded at the end of 2016 in Turin by Angelo Muratore and Carlo Tafuri.

Caracol AM has developed an extrusion system that allows you to overcome the limits of normal 3D printers and allows you to recover processing waste. It closed a € 3.5 million investment round led by First Space (First Venture) ed Eureka! Fund (Eureka Venture). The company was founded in 2017 by Francesco De Stefano, Jacopo Gervasini, Paolo Cassis and Giovanni Avallone.

Parentsmile is a startup that has developed a multi-service digital booking platform for the healthcare, assistance, and training-educational fields. It closed a capital increase through which it saw the entry into the company of Var Group. The company was founded in 2020 in Vicenza by Cristina Lucera.
